Well the week is coming to a close almost. We have been staying pretty busy, troy and I finished our stair project, seven sets from 20 to 25 feet long. Now we are building some motor skids for rig 95's draw works. Rig 95 is one we are going to do a lot of refurbing on, they are fixing to move it to Perryton, TX, and Bill gave me another invoice book, so I am guessing we have much road work ahead. I know we are going to be working on 95 a lot in Texas before it comes back into the yard, it may not even be coming back into the yard we might have to do all our work on it on location in Perryton. Well Just wanted to drop a line for everyone, just staying busy, enjoying the cool down today, was nice to have cooler temperatures and some much needed rain! See ya all around the 4th back home... See ya at the next hole...

It has been a typical Monday brain trying to catch up with the body, still building stairs. Starting to get some of the rock for the yard so hopefully that will help with that sand storms, LOL. I will be trying to get somethin worked up for coming home next weekend for the fourth. The fourth is also terri's (Jameys wife's) birthday. That's about all don't have to much to allow at the moment. I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone, you all mean a lot to me. What a weekend!
That's pretty much sums it up! We thought we would just have a nice little Saturday at the yard, everybody pretty much went back home on Friday, so there were just three of us at the yard yesterday, Brian was gonna let me and Troy take off at noon, but then disaster struck at 10:30am. The safetyman was out at rig 95, after they made a move to a new hole, and wouldn't let them stand it up due to a heckuva whole lot of safety violations, which we had to fix, got there at 11 on a " 4 hour minimum, and guess what, we left there at 7:00pm, a good 12 hour day, that's ok money in the bank. I received a call from Andy Merrill, I know some of you remember drew, he was in town last night, so therefore that meant trouble, lol. We went out to his dads ranch, which used to be the old Sutter Ranch west of Fargo, 14,000 acre ranch, very nice, but while we were out there his older bro Kelly was there, as well as Matt Davis, and his wife who used to come watch us play at chubs, so it was kinda ol home week, three hours from home. So, about 11 we headed into town and met Troy at Roosters here at the Northwestern Inn here in Woodward. Another crazy thing, low and behold who do we see but Kyla Oiler, so it was a pretty cool night, seen lots of folks I haven't seen in years...Literally. Well I am waitin on Troy and Andy to get here so we can throw some pork chops on the ol' grill and have us a good Sunday, the best day, it's our only day off!! =) Well until next time folks, I would start my Dumb*ss of the week award but so far the only one is me, after burning my hand by sitting it down on a plate I had been welding on for an hour and a half, how stupid is that...wait don't answer that! See ya this next weekend, I am ready to come home for a day or two...later ya'll

One more week down...well almost.
Hey hey...One more day and its time to call it a week! I got another raise this last week, that's always exciting! Another wonderful day in what we like to call the "arm pit" of this great state, wind blowin 900 freakin miles an hour and Troy and brian's trucks temperature thingys both read 106 at 5:00 today. Watched the news with the 7 day forecast not sure I really wanted to see that, lol...not looking good, hot and dry. After a very unfortunate night of trying to take home some waitresses at the local pizza hut, me and the boys hit the streets on our lunch brake today, see there are rodeos in town this weekend and next, so Woodward is very hoppin'. We have another total rebuild to do so that will take about four months, exciting. I will be putting up pictures as the weeks go on of the stuff we are workin on, and also an a weekly installment of what I will call "The dumb*ss of the week award", should be pretty exciting, so keep lookin folks. Well I am gonna hit the sack, till next time...see ya at the next hole

Hello All!
Well I am connected to the rest of the world now that I have the internet. For all of you that don't know I am currently in Woodward, OK have been for 4 months now, working as a contract welder contracting through Key Welding Inc. In Vici, OK and we are working in the Bronco Drilling Yard here in Woodward. I do some occasional "rig chasing" , me and some of the boys spent 8 days out by Boise City, OK on location setting up Bronco rig #95. It has been fun and yet hard work, just building and refurbishing old rigs. Here the last few days the temp has been from 97 to 102 degrees, supposed to be 104 on Saturday, now add the heat from your torch or rod and add it to that... So we will see. We found out today that there will be at least 3 more years worth of work at the Bronco Yard here, so we will see, that is willing the boom doesn't fizzle out before then. Well, I am going to call it a day, for the family I will see you next weekend for my birthday, and of course you to dad for fathers day. Well as we say in the oil patch... See ya at the next hole!
Later...Jake
